The animated documentary film, Visiting Ben Shemen directed by Miriam Harris explores memories surrounding the innovative boarding school Ben Shemen, situated near Lod, Israel. Following World War II it was largely populated by young teenagers who were orphans and survivors or refugees from the Holocaust, and it had a vibrant arts curricula, a socialist framework, and an agricultural setting.
